Richard Fergus joined AZDFI in 2002, as a senior examiner. He was responsible for examinations of mortgage brokers, mortgage bankers, commercial mortgage bankers, collection agencies, motor vehicle dealers, sales finance companies and deferred presentment companies. In 2005, Mr. Fergus accepted the position of Division Manager overseeing the Licensing and Consumer Affairs Divisions of AZDFI. Mr. Fergus currently oversees the licensing and regulation of 13 different licensees which now includes the licensing of loan originators in compliance with new legislation enacted in 2009.
